    SORRY B-BOMB

  2. Deverie

I love Tuesday nights, Garbage night! It’s the perfect time for getting free crap off people’s curbs. Even the most shy of us can feel a little more at ease about our crapping in the cover of dark. This week my brother and I doubled back on the road we just went down. As we slowly pulled up to the curb the breaks squeaked and it made me a little nervous. He carefully slid the van door open. Just before I came to a stop he jumped out. He grabbed the crap, flung it into the van and he yelled “go, go, go!!” as he leapt back. I sped off and he slammed the door. Free crap can be so exciting. My kids got “like new” plastic lounge chairs with cup holders. One of them needs some duct tape, but it was worth it. Crap may sometimes need a little work, but with a little creativity, there is some much potential. I almost got a swing set last month, but it was gone by the time I got out of work. I guess I’m not the only crapper in my area.

First, i want to thank everyone who voted for me to decide the next contest, but due to the conspirators, (YOU know who you are!!!), I was tossed aside like some unneeded free crap ha! Let me tell you….my suggestion was going to be sweeeeeeeeeeeeet, but too late now to crawl back to me.

I do have a good tip to share, but SOME ruined it for the others and you’ll have to think about what you have done! after i have licked my wounds Ill be back to share……..maybe sniff. hehehehe!

  4. joe blow

ohhh poor poor bomb, it never “ment” to do no harm…ha ha ha..i was all ready for the joke one cuz i got some funny ones. I dont really consider most of this stuff crap, i loves me some freebee’s…

  5. joe blow

    “crapping” thats so funny !!

  6. Jess

Dumpster diving is great, but unlike Deverie we’re not ashamed of it. My mother and I go out in broad daylight. We’ve found wrought iron porch posts that a store was throwing out and asked if we could have them. They now are home to my purple passion vine. Also in her neighbor hood folks to the “good stuff” next to thier garbage cans to give folks the opportunity to grab before trash day.

But never one to pass up a free lunch, my all time favorite way to get free stuff is from my college days when cash was tight. And that is . . . Sam’s club on a Sunday!! The first lap around the store is for appitizers and the second is for your lunch!! Depending on how you make the rounds you can even work in dessert. Beats the college cafeteria or ramen noodles anyday!

  7. b-bomb

    tell me a joke blow.

Intresting concept free crap,Ive recently found with the high price of scrap metals. A way although not necessarly free crap as it is reffered to in this contex. Ive gone to offering to remove any scrap metal form basements and grarages, returning it to the scrap yard for the weight. Bu the bestdeal by far is to offer free junk car removal , the local scrap yard will remove it for free pay 250.00 per car . All that is required is a someone to be there at a designated time to sign off on it. The people wanting the car removed are happy its gone and the scrap yard in happy for the metal and i am 250.00 richer.

First off I think a good joke would have been much better than some more places to get free crap. Duh… if your reading this your already know the best place by far to get free crap. Anyway here’s a few places and things to do to GFC. Put on a sport coat and stand in front of a nice hotel, sooner or later some guy with a pretty girl will pull up and hand you the keys to his car.(It helps if you open the door for the girl) Next go to a bank night deposit drop off with an old post office hamper. Put an “out off order put deposits in hamper” sign across the deposit slot. Over night you will get a lot of crap for free. Now I know your saying”you can’t get away with that”. Well the method to my madness is either way you’re gonna get a lot of free crap! And look at all the free crap you got reading this. Win, Win I say.

  10. Sheila

Oh you guys would love to come around here during our small town clean up weeks. All the surrounding towns have a clean up and believe me you can find alot of free crap. Some of it I keep and some of it goes into a rummage sale to be sold. So not only do you get free crap but you also get a little bit extra cash in your pockets for gas to go look for some more free crap. So the next time you have a spring clean up remember I may be at your drive picking up your crap to sale.

  11. steve

I get a lot of crap when people give away free magazines and brochures. I also have like 10+ free magazine subscriptions, but when I’m done reading them my room is full of a lot of crap. If it’s free we think we need it but usually it just fills up our houses. I browse freebie forums and get a ton of stuff from there. After you open all the packages and sort through everything-crap! I hope I can get help for this addiction soon. Free is a double edged sword in my deal loving heart!

  12. b-bomb

o-kayyyyyyyyyy, who are you people and where are you coming from? ha. now here’s a good way to get free crap without getting dirty or risking jail time.

    take care and be well.

    peace.

  14. TampaFreebie

B-Bomb, the hillsside coffee sounded interesting, so I googled it, and found all kinds of stuff on it, sounds like it is very dangerous. Many cases of exploding cans, leaking cans, burns, ect… I’m guessing it wont be around long! So you better drink up if you like it.

Also, why would you say to stay away from the bible? Thats not nice…not that im a bible thumper by any means, but still not nice B-bomb.

    Have a great weekend!

  15. Karen

It has been my experience that the world is full of crap. Look at any curbside (preferably in a well–to–do neighborhood) on trash day and you’ll see what I mean. I have found desks, chairs, kitchen tables, even a bar – all very usable and totally free crap.
Dumpster diving is another great way to get more totally free crap, (not to mention a wonderful recreational activity for the kids, just make sure the rope is secure around their waist). Dumpsters at apartment buildings, especially around universities at the end of the school year, are an excellent source of totally free crap. Students in a rush to get home, leave many treasures behind. Lamps, couches, beds, even televisions and stereos are yours for the taking.
Trade shows are also a great way to boost your supply of totally free crap. Ball caps, can openers, (one can never get enough of those), T-shirts, posters, balloons, pencils, erasers, (keep your kids in school supplies for the year), and of course, brochures. Brochures are great. When you get done reading them (does anyone actually read them?) just roll them up tight. They make great logs for the fire in winter.
Hungry? Try the local food bank. They have many delectable food items to choose from. Beanie Weenies, Spam, Macaroni and Cheese, and day old (or several days old) bread, all await your culinary pleasure and are all totally free crap, just for the asking.
Yes, it is true. The world is full of crap.

  16. b-bomb

deverie, sheila and jess, do you wear special clothes when hitting the dumpster? have you run into any rats or roaches or dead cats along the way down in those dumpsters? seriously, im interested in this. do you go to like, regular people’s houses or businesses?are you sober? and mike, how many states are you “wanted “in?

  17. joe blow

ohhhh nooooo, there is no way im diggin in people’s trash, that is nasty….now a place to score free stuff is in tahoe california, at the casino’s you can eat , drink, play and smoke for free, hotels have free coupons for all that stuff..just gotta know where to look..

  18. Jess

No special clothes needed and I don’t actually climb in the dumpsters. Most of the good stuff is visible and you can just reach in and grab it, or its sitting next to the dumpster/garbage cans. I have some great lamps, a antique childrens chair, and refurbed dresser holding all my paints and srt supplies and of cousre my wrought iron work in the backyard.

I’ve been to Tahoe and other than getting upgraded to a kick ass suite it was EXPENSIVE. The only reason for the upgrade was because it was our honeymoon.

  19. Jess

Oh and this might sound kinds mean, neighborhoods where there are lost of old people are great too. Sometimes whoever is cleaning them out after they lock thier parents away in the old folks home put what they think is trash out by the curb. I’ve got some great stuff from those neighborhoods.

  20. NaNcY

My tip: make sure your tetnus shots are up to date for you peeps diving in dumpsters, lol

  21. b-bomb

TampaFreebie, if you look what i wrote i said, “stay away from the bible crowd” NOT stay away from the bible. see its true, if you comment ,there are some people take what you said out of context…..like you. now THATS not nice! :)

ps. you dumpster bunch seem to find some pretty cool things!

  22. Deverie

    ****Freecylce.org ****
You to join a local goup where member post free stuff o post what they are looking for for free. I got my kids a swing set and I gave away some 80’s my little ponies.

  23. Deverie

    sorry that’s freecycle.org

  24. Magaloogalow

You can find crap in my ex-boyfriend, he’s full of it.

  25. Sheila

b-bomb …. No Ive never been in a dumpster. All my free crap comes right off of peoples curbs. I never dig into trash cans either. When curb crap shopping you dont have to dive in just grab it and go its free . Ive never ran into any rats nor have I ever worn any protected clothing and yes if a buisness has any good free crap on the curb yes I get it. You dont have to live in a wealthy neighborhood either most of there crap is crap.

  26. Sheila

Oh have a good weekend b-bomb.

  27. Victoria

Ok I know this is not witty or clever and ya-all probably know this allready but Wal-mart.com has free samples and they are always adding new ones so keep checking back! Joe, Tahoe is a good place to get freebies and I should know :) Also on Sundays after people have had garage sales and are to lazy to pack up the crap and take it somewhere is a great place to get freebies or at the very least a damn good bargain!! I will leave the dumpster diving to my mother and mother in-law.. one time my mother in-law saw some jeans in a dumpster so she reached in ..(shes short) and I swear she fell right in .. it was the most hilarious thing I ever saw and it could’nt have happened to a more annoying.. I mean nice person lol! peace!

  28. b-bomb

HEY EVERYBODY!!!! got an email saying my “warm delights” have been shipped woooo hoooooooooooooooooooooo

  29. Dustin

I’ve been a crapper for about a year now. And while TotallyFreeCrap is second to none in sheer simplicity on items that you want mailed to you, getting things mailed to you isn’t always the best option. So I go to Craigslist.org. There I set the search range to my local neighborhood, and I hit the “free” button. People post all sorts of things for people to get. Ranging from Lime Rock to computer desks and a lot of things you might think of in between. I myself have obtained a free computer desk from the free section. The only issue? It’s just a little old. Whoopee, right? It’s awesome. There’s no cost, and it’s more often than not something someone can use, not just random things.

  30. TampaFreebie

B-Bomb - I gotcha Bro, its all good, i guess I read it too quick. Enjoy your Warm Delights, I know I enjoyed mine, it was ah so delightful!!

  31. joe blow

yeah i got mine like two weeks ago and mine were totally bomb, (0h woops) .

  32. b-bomb

    hey!

  33. mike

Here’s a real way, no joke, to get free crap. This works, I’ve done it.
While on a road trip out west I took digital photos of my favorite beer every where I went. I would prop a can up next to all kinds of weird and interesting places. Every scenic overlook, park entrance, down town Vegas, Hover Dam and all the places dumb tourists take snapshots of so 50 years later they can see themselves and their “loved ones” and dream of days gone by.
Well I sent my photos to the “Beer Company” explaining I loved they beer so much that their beer is the “loved one” in my snapshots.
Well they sent me tee shirts, mugs, pens, coasters but no BEER!
Next trip I’ll bring 5 different cans and maybe shampoo. snacks, cigarettes… all the stuff I love and then send off dozens of letters in quest of free crap.

  34. Mmonkeygirl

Hello! I agree if you get a little clever, there is no telling the things you can fin or for that matter get FREE, If you don’t count some of the work that might go into something or today the gas. But if you are in need or want of something it is always worth it. In our town we also have a FREECYCLE.Org, Pepople are trying to get rid of there junk so it can becaome our treasures. My Friend just got her wedding dress, vail, and purse, All Free, I have gotten a dog (of course) A nice glass patio table and four chairls, that sold for 199.00 at Wal- marts, Watch for moving sales and I have offered to pack, load and haul off their unsold items, It worked they were trying to get moving. I got two bikes for my kids, nd a baby bed for my friend with mattress. sometimes furniture stores will set out chip or broken pieces. behind their store, (most of the time they bust it up) I have a very nice coffee table and all I had to do was fix the broken leg. When Thrift Stores clean their shelves off they throw away all kinds of stuff including furniture. I do have to mention that there are alot of web sites that give FREE STUFF, Like Wal-Mart, Startsampling.comteenfreeway.com not to forget Coke Rewards and Pepsi Stuff. Have FUN! and find out what is FREE around your Town.

  35. Broken_Hearted_Butterfly

Once my mom and I snuck behind a store and went to their recycling dumpster. We were of course jacking cardboard boxes; who knew stealing crap could be so dangerous? I actually went dumpster-diving to dig out all the good ones. Mom left a cardboard box right where I jumped out, and I landed right on my butt! She laughed like a maniac, and I was soooo mad. I don’t even know what those cardboard boxes were for! I never saw them again. ^ ^

  36. Amanda

Where to get freebies?Well if you go to any totally free crap websites all their stuff is free .Just have to fill out forms and some require completing some sponsored offers.I have received things in the mail almost everyday because the first thing I do every morning when i get up is look for free crap on the web where else in the world are ya gonna get free crap.Sure not out in real life goin places. With the way the economy the way it is I am thankful for the free crap.So I think the best place and places to get free crap is at Totally free crap or complimentary free crap.

  37. zoofoo2

Ok, this may be somewhat, well, a little white lie but, when we are low on cash and need more tobacco, I have a great way to get it free! I write the company that manufactures it and tell them there were lots of sticks and shake in it. I made sure I told them I bought two 2lb bags also. In about 5 days, I had two 2lb bags of tobacco in the mail along with a new roller! HAAAA Of course you can’t do this more than once to the same company. So if ya need to do it again, just find another brand you like and write them the same email!

  38. zoofoo2

So you want to find more free crap, and it can’t be from this site? Hmmm, lemme think for a moment.. . . . . . . . Well, I’d have to say to check out another site called 2good2toss. It’s not everywhere yet but, you might be able to find it where you live. So far, I have gotten a free 25 inch TV that works great…… For Free! I got a clothes dryer that works great…..For Free! I could have gotten some dirt, bricks, screen doors, bikes, bed frames, clothes–size 20, blenders and vases but, I just didn’t need them! I just picked up an X-Box for $50 bucks with 4 games, and that was cool. Sooooo, if anyone out there is looking for those things, go there! The site works like this: You can’t advertise anything that you want more than $99 bucks for. You can advertise Free items. You can place wanted ads for anything you’re looking for and tell them how much you want to pay for it…..Cool :o] There’s a lot more to it so you’d have to check it out. But, be very very careful! It can become just as addicting as totallyfreecrap!!!! Believe me………You’ll be checking it out everyday and trying to figure out how to put the widget on your homepage just like I did with this one! Hee Hee! Totallyfreecrap is totallythefirstthing, I do when I log on……………………….Haaaaave Fun! Woot!

  39. Rachel

My grandfather for years was a mailman. He was always bringing home stuff he found at peoples houses. After he passed in 2000 we discovered he had a TON Of boxes in his basement all numbered and perfectly stacked amongst his “FREE CRAP”. My father is another “dumpster diver” he has a ton of crap he’s pulled from peoples trash, including emergency lights (for firemen, police, or ambulance workers). My husband is also another one we have MANY MANY things around this house he’s collected in the 10 years we’ve been together. The most recent thing he got from the dumpster (AT WORK I MAY ADD) is my desk chair!! I Swear if it were up to him he’d furnish the house with crap he’s found on the side of the road. :)

  40. Sylvia

Ok, I guess I better get in on this too.. :)
dumpster diving isn’t as bad as its sounds.. yeah you probably come across some nasty stuff from time to time, but you can always get cleaned up & shower right after. Dept Stores sometimes throw out old merchandise, brand new still w/ tags. But I think you find the best stuff in nice neighborhoods around the first of the month on trash night (when peoples lease is up & they’re moving/or getting evicted) then you can find sometimes whole houses full of stuff out on the curb for your taking.

Some websites have some really good stuff like this one of course.. then there’s Kijiji.com, Craigslist.org (they both have a free section & allow free advertising) & Startsampling.com (the forums have a lot of free stuff!) There’s also a game trading site that gives you a free game when referred by someone (myself? haha) and you can even get a 2nd free game when you give feedback on the experience of getting the first one! I’ve gotten the 2 games like that and I am earning more free games by passing it along. The sites is completely free and you don’t even pay for the shipping! here’s the link for the first free game, you choose what game you want, once you get it, go back and give feedback and you get to choose a 2nd game! http://www.goozex.com/trading/asp/join.asp

Almost every restaurant gives you a free appetizer, dessert, or a % off of a bill for simply signing up at their site. This can be done over and over again if you have a favorite restaurant. :D

There are a lot of free things that are available and/or still usable you just have to look to find them! Some say nothing in life is free, and thats usually right, but with a little effort its definitely possible!

  41. Trace

How to get alot of free crap:
    1. Get bowl.
    2. Put 1 cup of milk into said bowl.
    3. Pour 1 1/2 cup of FiberOne into bowl with milk.
    4. Eat.
    5. Repeat process until you recieve alot of free crap.

  42. Pam

I too must confess that I am a crapper. I search everywhere for free stuff that I can use. I am even guilty of training my children in this sick, obsessive behavior. My four and six year old’s beg to eat at sonic where they run up and down the middle between the two drive in areas and search for coins that people throw away. My eldest daughter got through college for a mere $20 and is the only child I know that graduated with over $3,000 in savings! She learned about happy hours and ramen dinners. She used scholarships and grants and now has a degree in Psychology. We love the free crap that we receive in the mail and use every bit of it.

  43. Erin

My boyfriend and I go around our neighborhoods collecting cans. Last year we managed to collect enough cans to pay for the gas from Connecticut to Key West! It’s amazing how many crazy drunks out there are throwing away good money! It’s a little bit of work, but who can argue with free money?

  44. Jon

Garage sales are also a good way to get free crap. In the mornings, most have a free box that you can take anything out of, and late in the day, usually Sundays when most garage sales end for the weekend, you can pretty much talk them into giving you free crap because they just want to get rid of stuff.

  45. Jon

We also go to football games and clean up all the cans in the parking lot from all the tailgating, right after halftime and immediately after the game are the best times. We not only pick up the cans on the ground but we ask people if they’d like us to get rid of their cans for them, most people say yes! Here in Oregon, that’s 5 cents per can!!

  46. Tonto

Tonto get free crap the old fashion way. Me steal it.
