I do not finish those offers that require a phone number. I can deal with spam, but no sales calls. Do any of you seasoned Freebie’rs (can’t think of a good word to describe the obvious, close-knit community I have been a voyeur to) get many calls if/when you do, or does a “555″ number work?
Wolf: I use a working number for time and temperature. Doesn’t even have to be in your city. I, like you, do not want sales calls. I usually end up w/ all the freebies I try for. Best of luck to you!
Wolf, first of all, I think we’re related in the food chain thing (Wolf/Maddog). Anyway, I usually put my fax number down and have not gotten any bogus calls to that number. I would hear it ring and hang up. Maybe we can meet over at the hen house for lunch sometime.
Oh, and Bomb, I thought your “…here in a “jiffy”…” remark was quite good! Especially at 7:27 am!! Obviously, your caffine is that high potency stuff. Can I have some?
Oohhhhh, I just bought 6 boxes of this stuff to make cornbread for 20 tonight. Wish the cookbook was downloadable, then I could make something a little more interesting. Oh wait, that just takes some imagination, I can do that!! Hail to the Redskins!!
Julie a lil cheese and jalapeno slices in the corn bread mix make it extra yummy…or any kind of dried fruit. I always add just a touch of sugar to my jiffy cornbread mix because it seems rather dull and just helps the flavor pop more.
WTG Oz on being first and cutting it so close!! lol.
a potluck? greeeaaat, i’ll bring the pot. Judy’s idea is good. I add several different items to mine, depending on what is accompanying it. From a few butterscotch chips & light brown sugar - you got to try that… it is FABULOUS - to ground turkey & a small amount of salsa. I like Paul Newman’s pineapple salsa. Cook the turkey with onions b4 mixing it with the cornbread. Those are two of my favorites.
well tonight, it’s black beans and smoked sausage seasoned with cajun spices and some corn thrown in the crock pot and cooking together all day. Then of course, the corn bread, and salad, and some magic bars for dessert. Bring on the additions, the more the merrier. I do this every Monday, and the menu changes always, so we’ll see what comes next week. With any luck, one day I can make a freebie meal……aaahhh, to dream the impossible dream.
Julie, I just took a buttermilk pie out of the oven. I’m making an enchilada casserole and a pot of pinto beans for supper. And as we all know, nothing is better with beans than CORNBREAD! So what time do you want me to come over? :-)
I’m bringing homemade chicken pot pie.
Bring it on Joe… bring it on! :-) I’ve eaten crow pot pie before. Ha!
Judy, I’ve never been called a “crapper” before in a good way… until now.
Chip, if you’re the chip who’s the dip? Ha!
Lizard, I was a night owl… the early worm gets eaten.
Ortho appointment tomorrow.
Oops! I just requested this from the retailmenot.com website link before I saw it here. Sorry Free Crap. Julie, I thought I noticed that they had free recipes on their website too if you need some help with all that cornbread.
thanks blow, you alway have my back! like you will always be #1 here since you started that! :) hey oz, i think that hoo hoo hoo ha di ho di hoh is all your ha!
Man, all this talk of good food and TFC “Crazy Friends” sounds like a party just waiting to happen! How far is Clarksville, Arkansas from Fresno, California? Julie and friends, I’m on my way!!
Thank you for dinner. Your cajun black beans and smoked sausage were incredible. I liked your “Jiffy” cornbread recipe too!! Let’s do it again next Monday.
Recipe book? Harumph. I wanted the mix! Who needs a recipe book when the instructions are right on the box? I am too lazy for this Freebie. I want edible goods…or usable…not readable. Reading is for chumps. :D
BBBBBBBBBBBBBuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! That was a GREAT meal! Too bad y’all weren’t able to make it! Great Food! Great Hostess! Great Friends! Lousy game on TV (Skins). Da BOYS are 3-0, Julie! THREE and Zeeeero! So is my other team…Buffalo Bills!
HA!! Oooops! Sorry ’bout that, Bomb!! Dag nabbit! Just came out! Ya know, with all the hootin’ ‘n a hollerin’ ’bout the DALLAS COWBOYS and all! Won’t happen again, Sir!
Maddog, I love them Buffalo Bills, too. I grew up in Rochester, New York, and use to go to their stadium and watch’em beat up on the Clevland Browns, Woohoo!
question: why do you care who wins ? do you win money ? i mean really how does it make your life better if some team wins ? i’ve never gotten it, why get so excited it’s only a game, win or lose you stay the same ! ugh
Well Joe, it’s not that it changes the way you are it just gives you something fun to watch and do. I guess you could call it…a hobby. Kind of like some people enjoy collecting things or enjoy doing certain things. Then there are some people who are troll-like and they are never happy or excited or give a hoot about anything. You for example, obviously get some kind of satisfaction out of TFCs website. Others get that and them some. GO COWBOYS!!!
Andrea, the only reason you like football is because your man prob likes it or your a lezbo, so i just had a question you dont have to get all ghetto name calling ! get a clue and please get your own hobby ! and Lizard: no cookie for me. boo
Ghetto name calling? Exactly what ghetto name did I call? The only name I posted was Joe. I’m not from the ghetto so I am not familiar with ghetto names. As for my man, he does like sports but he’s entitled to his own favorite teams. So, according to you…only men and “lezbos” like football…that’s why they call it YOUR opinion.
yeah, everyone needs to take it down a peg, I think. The ONE, I wasn’t being impatient, I apologize if it sounded like it. Joe, I was raised with six brothers that were raised in Maryland, so I had no option but to love the Redskins and learn the game. Now that I’m older than God, (which is what my husband calls me :)) I just enjoy the bragging rights and it’s all in good fun. And Maddog, it’s ok that the Cowboys are 3-0 because the Redskins are 2-1, so when the beat the cowboys on Sunday, they’ll be tied *giggles*
And I didn’t get any freebies today, the mail just came, but did I see my mailman munching on a cookie??? hmmmm
What is your hobby Joe Blow. To each his own. Why do you want to put someone down just because you don’t enjoy? Why do you get to call people names? Calling someone a lezbo, not very nice. I enjoy reading the comments, but if your having a bad day, stay away!!!!!
thats funny michelle : )~ and nicki fyi, i didnt call anyone names i was just asking a simple question and got attacked, so dont tell me to “stay away” freedom of speach. Julie: now that i can understand totally,,,thank you ! Andrea you just need to take a chillaxative for reals !!!
wow Joe…. bad karma dude. I happen to love watching Pro Football myself. In fact…In MY Family ALLL the women love football. The Men, In MY FAMILY, dont give a rats ass! My Teams of choice happen to be…The Forever Underdog-Cleveland Browns, The Oakland Raiders and The Jacksonville Jaguars. ( boo hiss at the Ravens-Who WERE the Browns-giggles)
I think Each person has some sort of hobby… and even us “Crappers” have a hobby…Collecting our Totally Free Crap!!!! I know I love getting those in the mail…Which I finally did yesterday! Yeah! My Axid finally came, along with my stamp collecting book and something else…darn cant remember…LOL. After not getting anything for so long I hit paydirt yesterday!!
Sorry for the rant… Love You guys/gals! and no im not GAY/LEZ or whatever! Im just Me
Hey Joe Blow. I was not always a football fan but I like watching the play. That was years ago and now it’s all fairly robotic. I am deep in the heart of NE Pats country and it was hard NOT getting drawn up in those last second kicks. I would be upstairs practicing songs my band plays and would ask my boys to call me down for the two-minute warning. I’m a die hard NASCAR fan (I was born in the south raised there until 12 or 13) and anyone who has sat behind the wheel of a car and has had to “pull a move” can appreciate doing so at 200 mph — but i am still palying my guitar or my bass while watching. I enjoy watching these posts because y’all banter back and forth and it’s obvious even you sir watch them so you can respond,so, see you do have a hobby. These folks are your friends, even we who do not post often. Now tell Andrea you are sorry for the name calling; give her a virtual hug and the rest of us can forget this happened. If you are haveing a bad day tell us all to go to the forum and tell us about it. We’re friends dude
everyone is entitled to their opinions. football no football it isnt that big a deal but from where i sit, calling someone a troll isnt very nice at all… sort of a deliah comment and nobody wants that! be cool my babies!
wow wolf that was a mouth full, but to me this isnt a hobby, it’s a way to pass time whilst i work, I’ll be sure and watch how i ask questions for now on..peace
