Good Morning Crappers!! Judy, do the tomatoes eventually weigh down the plant so they grow down? I bought 6 myself and my tomatoe plants are all growing down out of the bottom and up the sides reaching for the sun. I’m afraid when I get maters they may break my plants. My strawberries are doing great coming out the sides though.

This one isn’t opening for some reason. Paul, I have used those planters before, they are neat and do work. Strawberries do great in them also. Helps to keep the groundhogs, and other vermin’s out of your crops. Had a bear take out our bird feeder’s two seasons ago. Bent the rod iron posts they hung on like they were tooth picks.
I hang mine off a 4×4 beam 5 feet off the ground. But i also made some out of hanging 5 gallon buckets with a 1 inch hole in the bottom. maybe I’ll patent it. HMMMM LOL So now i have 40.
Hey Joe Blow, must be Maddog raising all this heat! LOL! Back in Pa. there was frost this morning and the temps are in the 50 to low 60’s. Hope there is gonna be time enough to get some growing in when I get back home. :-)
Paul, I’ll have to give the beam thing a try. Thank You for the idea! With 40 you should be eating good for awhile. LOL! Do you freeze or can any of what you grow?
What a blessing you and your green thumb are to so many Paul! How wonderful! :-)
Wish I lived where I could grow year round. Back in Pa. the growing season is short. But I freeze and can a lot of stuff to use later. Nothing like homegrown for sure!
I am giving the Topsy Turvy’s a go this year too! Thought I would try a few asrt pepper plants in em too. Gonna hang them from my clothes line posts. Nothing in the garden yet as still dipping into the 30’s at night. Will be winter again by the time we get anything in the ground! I tried to start my free Campbell’s soup tomato seeds in the house but they never even sprouted….must have been old! Nice to see your smiling faces…..have a good one!
Good morning Burk!! Guess you might need the umbrella on stand-by. I think we’ve got some coming our way to tomorrow. Where is everybody this am??? Hope you have a nice day!! :):):) Catch ya later
