The travel tip logo is definetly tied to the candle site! We will have to wait until the person posting these catches his or her error!

Afternoon, Y’all! Here is a repeat of the “Question of the Day” as requested by our wonderful, gorgeous and honorable Mayor SusieQ!!

Glad to come up with a question for us all, Mayor SusieQ! How about:
What song brings back good memories with a former sweetie or your current significant other?
Now, you don’t have to supply any “details” if you don’t want. :-0

Me, I have so many that bring back memories.
“One” by U2 (my all time favorite group)…after my ex-wife and I split.
“Bad” by U2 …when I was helping a good friend with drug addiction.
“Sometme you can’t make it on your own” by, of course, U2…every time I hear it I think of my dad and my kids.
“Hair”, forget who by, makes me think of my high school days.
“Dream Weaver” by Aerosmith…an ex-GF when I was in high school.
Ahhhh, so many memories. So many more!

  14. Coolcat

‘Story in Your Eyes’ by Moody Blues………”I been thinkin about our fortune and I decided that we’re really not to blame…for the love thats deep inside us now is still the same….”

  15. Ribsy

    Try us all again.

  18. Coolcat

Chip- You forgot to list your favorite song. (That is the question of the day!)

  19. Chip

Gosh, Coolcat, I was distracted! LOL! My favorite song(s) when I was in “love” for the first time at 14 yrs. old, were, “Silly Love Songs”, “Strange Magic”, and “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.” Oh my goodness! Did I just date myself? 8*)

  20. Grimm

    Sorry guys. fixed the link.

  21. gatorpaw

“Hey Jude”. Now does that date me or what?

  22. Maddog

Hmmmm, Gatorpaw??!!?? “Hey Jude” by the Beatles…wasn’t that a druggy song?????? Hmmmmmmmm????? A favorite no matter what!
‘Story in Your Eyes’ by Moody Blues!!! I LOVE that song!! Doesn’t remind me of anything, but it is a classic!!

  23. gatorpaw

Well if it was I wasn’t aware of it. It just reminds me of riding around back then. Every time I hear it, I can see myself in the back seat of my best friends boyfriends car on the way to school, drinking a 16 og bottle of coke. (She was in the frontseat next to him of course)

  24. gatorpaw

I’m just an ol’ hippy anyway!

  25. Chip

    I’m a hippy lover myself!

  26. Anne

When I was thirteen I had a crush on this fellow we were in Berlin, Germany at the time & he was German his name was Hans. My favorite song was I Wanna Hold Your Hand – The Beatles ! Gatorpaw I’m a Hippie to. Gosh those were the days weren’t they.

  27. Anne

Hey there Grimm, Hope you’re enjoying your vacation!!!!! :0) :0) Hey there Chipster how’s the Lil fellow doing???? Much better I hope!!

  28. gatorpaw

You got it Anne, the BEST times EVER! and in other ways, the worst times. But they were OUR times and that’s what counts!!!!

  29. Chip

Anne, the Lil Fellow’s much better, thanks for asking! Still ugly hot here in Central California, and the air is not good for asthmatics or those people with breathing troubles. Did you get to hold Ol’ Hans’ hand? Hippies and “Free Love” go “Hand in Hand”, ja?

  30. David

Sugar Magnolia by the Grateful dead brings back tons of memories for me! My true love and I enjoy so many songs it is hard to pick just one.Believe it or not I’d say Brandenburg Cocerto number three or the Violin Concerto third movement BWV1054. Talk about “old” hippies! :~D

  31. Burk

Good morning!! Chip, glad your boy is feeling better. Don’t think Hey Jude is a druggie song, wasn’t it written about John Lennon’s son Julius? The first song I remember connecting to a first love was a druggie song Inna Gadda Da Vidda (Spelling)? That person liked it, so so did I. Another later on was Love Will Keep Us Together (Capt. and Tennille), they lied! Later. Have a great day!

  32. Anne

Good Sunday morning to ya!! Hope everyone has a Super Sunday!! :0) Yes, indeed Gatorpaw those were OUR times for sure. Hey there Chipster! yes I got to hold hands with Hans!!!! :0) LOL!! :0) Good memories from everyone! Sounds like we are all from the same age group give or take a few years! .Keep the memories coming!!!

  33. Chip

Hey, Burk Buddy, thank you for thinking of Chip Jr. He is getting better. Coughs less, and not so much like a seal barking! 8*) I enjoyed “Love Will Keep Us Together”, too. And yes, they lied!!!
