Mornin’, Y’all! No fall weather here, Mayor! Actually, in the 90’s today. Well, I guess that’s fall weather in sunny Argyle, TX! Kids back in school tomorrow!
Question for the Crapperville crowd:
Has anyone used any of the Rosetta Stone products to help you with a foreign language? I’m thinking of buying a German language product because we might go to Germany next year to visit our exchange student and his family. They took the time to learn English (pretty well), so I should take the time to learn their language.
Hey Maddog! You can go on the Rosetta Stone site and try a sample of how they teach you. It is expensive, my one son used it to learn German along with a tutor from one of the local colleges. Hope it helps! Good Luck! :-)
Guten Morgen MADDOG– Rosetta Stone is one of the best & easiest ways to learn any language. When I was over there, I noticed that every letter is sounded out. There aren’t any silent letters like in other languages. Depending on where you are going in Germany, the salutation changes; like its ‘Graz Gott’ in the southern region & Austria & ‘Guten Morgen’ in the northern part. Start saving for your ‘Euros’ now, and passports are @ about 6 weeks to procure, German is not that hard to learn. How exciting for you & both of your families! :~)
88* degrees here in Central California. Humid, overcast, but nicer than 103* blaring sun. Went to a Luau party last night and got “lai-ed”! Had lotsa fun! 8*)
A BIG Texas THANK YOU Mayor SusieQ and Coolcat!! Yes, Rosetta Stone IS expensive, but my older son tried another software for Spanish and it wasn’t very good. That “deal” that I got wasn’t such a good deal after all! Us fathers…always trying to save a buck! Thanks for the heads up on the lingo differences, Coolcat! This family is from the northern part and they say “Guten Morgen”. My sis-in-law, who is also from Germany, noticed some differences as well. We already have our passports, so we just have to save our Euros! They were telling us how incredibly expensive it is over there. Amazing!
THANKS, again!!
Guten morgen, Y’all!! :-) I love how you Crappers pick up on a “theme” and run with it! Just goes to show that we Crappers are just as strange and demented as the rest of the world…only in a smiley way! That MUST be because of our wonderful MAYOR!!!
Guten morgen, and I hope you all have a wundervall day! :-) We’ll all know German at this rate Maddog! I’ll have my bags packed and ready to go with ya’ll! LOL! Do your son’s know German? Some from their friend I am sure! :-)
