Hey- I took that tour! It was a bus ride from London to Stonehenge with a stop over in Bath. They have Roman Baths there that they named that town after. Guess I passed the test too.
:~)
How do, Coolcat?!? Ya know, you being part cat and me being part dog…….wolf! bark! bark! bark! (chase up a tree) :~)
What do y’all say in Oregon, CoolKittyCat?
…but to be fair since I was there 2 weeks ago…. I heard a lot of
“Honey do you have any spare change?” and
“Hey Lady, don’t touch that gas pump!”
because you’re not allowed to pump your own gas in the state of Oregon.
:~)
The Roman Bath Houses were just that….public baths. Often not even a “house” as we would call it, having no walls to really speak of, and that was considered culture
2000 years later, call it Skinny Dipping, and it’s considered a crime
I don’t get it
Hi everyone!
From yesterday… Maddog and Coolcat, I love Arlo Guthrie! Remember the Motorcycle song? I don’t wan a pickle, just wanta ride my motorcycle. I don’t wanta die, just wanta ride my motor cy… cle.
Wolf- In Bath, it was made out of stone & the size of a large swimming pool. It was also under the stars & had stone walls around the disrobing areas. It was all algea green as no one wanted to clean it @ 120 degree temp. It was remarkable to view how the ancient Roamans put it all together.
As far as skinny dippin being a crime, you just have to do it @ night when no one’s watchin! ;~)
Yup, Gatorpaw, I sure do remember them! Oh, that’s right, Coolcat, you’re up, WAY up yonder in the coffee state! Sorry! Got my geography a little confused.
All this talk about bath houses, Wolf, got me thinking! How ’bout a big ol’ “bath” party at my place say, this weekend? I will build it, y’all come! Wolf, you bring the soap, Julie, the munchies, Mayor, can you grab some of those “Terrible Towels” for us to wipe off (I’ll wash them after the party), Blow and Bomb, just bring the mayhem and wine, Chip, bring chips and dip, Gatorpaw, key lime pie, Coolcat, coffee and creamer, Burk, beer, Ginabug, “Off” for those pesky ’sketers and bugs (nothing personal, of course) and Grimm, shampoo (since you don’t need it anymore)! There. PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Leaving in about twenty minutes, Maddog! Should be there just in time to PARTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! :-) Last one to show up cleans the bath! LOL! YUCKYYYYYYY!!!!!!! :-)
Hope your not out of wine to, joe blow! :-) And it would be more like ,”octhem”, LOL! That almost sounds like something stuck in ones throat. LOL! It wouldn’t be a party w/o you two for sure! :-)
Maddog Maddog Maddog…..
you don’t use soap at a bath party!! You just rub and rub and rub and rub and rub
It’s friction, after all, that does the cleaning
And Grimm’s gotta have those little nubbies growing back, by now. They need shampoo to feel all soft and fuzzy
Ginabug, live in Argyle which is about 8 miles south of Denton where I-35 splits into I-35E and I-35W. Lots of hills and trees here. Blow, you ARE coming! Guido and Luigi will be there to persuade you two to come. Wolf, you are right again!
Got the water warmin’ up as we speak! I invited all of the neighbors so they don’t call the police when we get to drinkin’ and, well, bathing like the Romans did :~D Ya know, I think I’ll just invite the police as well! All 3 of them!
