Hey, Y’all!
Matt, bought a Garmin Nuvi 760 for the wife several months back. Check on EBay for some good deals. Check with local stores as well to compare. Got hers for about $240 or so, brand new. The GPS should allow you to change routes and reconfigure quickly. Also, should remember places you went to until deleted. Get the bigger screen (4.5″) with voice directions. Well worth it. Also, get the holder that looks like a round doughnut and is filled with sand or something (Wal-Mart $20) if you don’t have a place to suction it securely. A little research goes a long way. See which ones are updatable and what options they have on them that you think you would use. They are awesome (especially since wifey is a Realtor). Lots cheaper than installed GPS’s which also cost a ton to update. Make sure you take your GPS when you leave the car (or hide everything) in a parking lot. People like to “borrow” them! Also, make sure the GPS covers the whole USA and Canada. I just talked to a friend who’s GPS doesn’t! Garmin, TomTom and other name brands work best. I like the Garmin although it has a slower refresh speed when you change routes (go down a street that it didn’t originally suggest) than some, but very reliable. Good luck!
One more thing, Matt, you can get yearly map update subscriptions from the makers themselves (usually) for not very much. Depending on your area that you travel most, you may have to do the update once every 3 years or so. Here, in the DFW area, we have to update at least once per year since there are so many new roads going in. Magellin was the other main manufacturer the I couldn’t think of. I just saw some not too fancy GPS systems on EBay for $150-$200. Not bad!
Quiet night tonight, I geuss most are on during the day during the week. Well I just wanted to say that I am throughly enjoying the site, the intrigue, and the variety of crapper folks on here. Have a wonderful Sunday eve~~~~~
GPS: The best is Garmin Nuvi255. Love it. Do not get the free Traffic versions. They track your movement and others who are Traffic informed. You become part of the statistics.
Enjoy your Garmin for about $129.
Mornin’, Y’all!!
HA, Burk!!! Ya must have had your mornin’ cup o’ Joe!! :~) Blazemom, most of us Crappers are card carryin’ members of the AARP, so we have to get to bed early!! It’s either that or, like Gatorpaw said and Burk noticed, some of us are gettin’ our Honey Nut Cheereo’s!! (snicker, snicker)
Every Monday morning our broker sends inspirational messages to his RE/MAX agents. I thought I’d share today’s with y’all!
Good Morning Everyone:
It is a great Monday morning with a week full of opportunity. As we near the end of this down turn in the economy, I am reminded of the following speech that Ronald Reagan gave toward the end of the early 1980s recession:
“And in those moments when we grow tired, when our struggle seems hard, remember what Eric Liddell, Scotland ’s Olympic champion runner, said in Chariots of Fire: “So where does the power come from to see the race to the end? God made me for a purpose.”

Your Life is a Reflection
A son and his father were walking in the mountains.
Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: “AAAhhhhhhh!!!”
To his surprise he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the hills:
“AAAhhhhhhh!!!”
Curious, he yells: “Who are you?”
He receives the answer: “Who are you?”
And then he screams to the mountain: “I admire you.!”
The voice answers: “I admire you!”
Angered at the response, he screams: “Coward!”
He receives the answer: “Coward!”
He looks at his father and asks: “What’s going on?”
The father smiles and says: “My son, pay attention.”
Again the boy screams: “You are a champion.”
The voice answers: “You are a champion.”
The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains; “People call this ECHO, but really this is life.
It gives you back everything you say and do.
Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.
If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.
If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.
The relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life:
Life will give you everything you have given to it.”

Well Maddog, you’re right about hell freezing over….. Hubby has been a Bills fan forever. He says they’re the only REAL NY team since Jets & Giants play in NJ. I happen to be a Jets fan (they DO practice in NY). I bet you can guess how it was at my house after the game yesterday. Since the Bills don’t win all that often though, I took the ribbing in stride ;>)
Matt, we have “Nancy” Navigon telling us where to go & how to get there :-) Larger screen & traffic info are great. Easy to update by USB on PC. I happen to like the way the actual highway lanes show on the screen. #1 & #2 children have “Nancy”, but also have Verizon VZNavigator on their cell phones. They are happy with both & cell phone navigation is part of their mthly plan so there is no extra charge. Good luck.
Hey Burk! Better guard that mailbox of yours while your away on the cruise! I will be in the neighborhood that week! LOL! WOW! You hit the jackpot for sure! :-)
J, I’m still a Bills fan even though I live in the DFW area. Can NOT bring myself to be a full fledged Cowboys fan. Don’t even like the cheerleaders! You can always tell hubby that YOU will probably have the last laugh! :~) There was an article on the Internet last week about a Bills fan raising money to put up a billboard telling Ralpf (Wilson) that there ought to be changes. Oh, well, GO BILLS!
Well, it has been some time since I visited this place, I am encouraged to note that the flavor has changed some. I try to live my life by these inspirational words:

looks like he’s just exercising free speech…like most do here. And like me at one time, some don’t appreciate it and voice their opinions about it…more free speech. Water off a ducks back should come to mind for some and just let it go…really. I mean how upset can you really get over someone’s words on in a comments section of a free crap website? That’s all I have to say about that.
I can handle your comment Coolcat, no problem with it, but tell me what’s so mature about someone who admits that they want to evoke strong reactions, negative reactions? Why should anyone here care if a poster changes their name.
Nobody liked the conniving way it was attempted. Does anybody really enjoy being chumped?
I said “strong reaction”, you were the one that said “negative reaction.”
And lastly, your comment about “babbling on” is judgemental.
I hope that clears things up.

inspirational message,
When you wake up in the morning, Avoid scratching your crotch and then smelling your finger
Never buy cheap toilet paper and complain when your fingers are wet.
Just because you took a poop, You need not look into the toilet to see what is actually in there.
The bathroom fan is not for cooling. Use it stinky.
That toilet brush is NOT automatic O.K.!f even the dog won’t drink out of the toilet,WAKE UP!!
Free samples for the toilet are NOT dog Drinks.
